You rum reviews are excellent and have saved me some money by not buying some interesting looking rums but that are only mediocre. Please try the Old New Orleans Cajun Spice which tends to be much higher rated than the other varieties. It is slightly sweet and not too harsh with a balance of flavors. As a spiced rum, I didn’t even want to consider it but was pleasantly surprised by how good it is.

Interesting, I've been wanting to try the Havana 7, unfortunately its not readily available to me anyway. But, the whole Flor range is, a nice range that. I've only had the 4, 7, 18 and 21 year olds, I found them all to be very similar except the later aged ones were much smoother and sippable neat, I'd be interested to hear what you think of the range bottle to bottle though, as your palette seems pretty damn sharp!
Happy rumming : )

Very interesting review, especially the Santa Teresa. I just ordered one and I'm very excited to try it after reading this review.
For the Flor de Cana: The 18 yo is one of my favourites, but depending on the mood I like the 12 yo better, in my opinion it's more complex. I always have both in my bar.
The 18yo definitely needs more resting whereas the 12 yo tastes great immediately.

YES. Havana Club 7 Anos is great rum. I compare it with Bacardi 8 and take interesting result.

Scott - glad to see you back!

I agree with your review of the Thomas Tew. Very disapointing, especially for the price. The New Orleans sounds interesting - I have not tried it. Have you tried Tanduay yet (Phillippines)? Pretty good for the price and good for mixing. Also, have a look at the Neissons - they pretty good but a little pricey.
